In the event that your vehicle has been impounded, the following is a general
guideline of the necessary paperwork you will need in order to claim your
vehicle.
TO RELEASE A VEHICLE YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING:
Valid Driver's License and/or Government Issued Photo Identification Card (passport, military ID card, state issued ID card)
Proof of Ownership – Vehicle title, Vehicle Registration.
All fees are to be paid full.
If a "Hold" has been placed on your vehicle by any police agency, you must obtain a release from that agency before the vehicle can be released.
Indiana Code IC 9-22-1-8 Release to owner or lienholder of stored vehicle
Sec. 8. If the properly identified person who owns or holds a lien on a vehicle appears at the site of storage before disposal of the
vehicle or parts and pays all costs incurred against the vehicle or
parts at that time, the vehicle or parts shall be released.
Any vehicle that is not picked up 31 days from the date of tow, will be sold at auction under Indiana Law.

After 3 days of impound there will be a $25 Admin Fee (Includes State Notification Fee).
